Wendy-Mackay-psychologistWendy is a Registered Psychologist with the Australian Psychologist Board (AHPRA). She has a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology, with a background in health care. She is currently working towards the recognised specialty of Clinical Psychologist. She is a full Member of the Australian Psychological Society, and an Associate Member of the College of Clinical Psychologists.

Wendy works with youths (15 years +) and adults encompassing a broad range of problems including anxiety disorders (Social Anxiety, GAD, PTSD), mood disorders, eating disorders (including Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and excluding Anorexia Nervosa) and weight management. She also works with individuals experiencing problems with relationships, stress, grief and loss, coping, anger, sleep, parenting, pain, transitions or general difficulty with managing emotions.

Wendy enjoys working collaboratively with her clients using a warm, approachable and non-judgemental manner to assist individuals to identify their strengths, develop resilience and generally enhance their life.

Wendy uses various approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), as well as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Emotional Freedom Technique(EFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Family Therapy Approaches.

Wendy is available for appointments on Thursdays and Fridays.
